Aerodynamics Engineer - Safe Separation or Storage Separation - Missiles
Strativ Group are working with a defense technology company who are passionate about changing the way military systems are designed.
Due to growth they are looking for an Aerodynamics Engineer with Safe separation or Storage Separation experience to work on new development products. This is an exiting opportunity to be the SME within the team !
What you will do
- Aerodynamic design of missiles at conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design maturities
- Aerodynamic analysis using both low and high order methods,
- Stability and control analysis
- Aircraft performance modeling and simulation
- Wind tunnel test planning, execution, and analysis
- Flight test planning, execution, and analysis
Qualifications needed
- BS or higher degree in Aerospace Engineering
- Competent in a variety of aerodynamic analysis techniques including hand calculations, vortex, lattice methods, panel methods, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
- Wind tunnel and flight test experience
- Experience with store certification and separation qualification
- Safe separation or Storage Separation experience
- Due to this role being for a defense company, you must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
